European Association for Psychotherapy (EAP)

De European Association for Psychotherapy (EAP) is de Europese koepelorganisatie voor de psychotherapie. De EAP vertegenwoordigt vrije beroepsbeoefenaren in 41 landen, verdeeld over 24 modaliteiten, en is mede-oprichter en actief lid van de World Council for Psychotherapy (WCP).

De Stichting NAP is als National Awarding Organisation (NAO) verantwoordelijk voor de registratie en herregistratie van ECP-practitioners in Nederland namens de EAP. Zo blijft de kwaliteit van in Nederland erkende psychotherapeuten gekoppeld aan de Europese kwaliteitsnormen van het ECP, het Europese Certificaat voor Psychotherapie.
